In the 2010 All-Star Game held on July 13, Braves catcher Brian McCann enters the game in the 5th inning as a pinch hitter for Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina. He flies out, but remains in the game at catcher.

In the 7th, he comes to bat with two out and the bases loaded. Against White Sox pitcher Matt Thornton, McCann hits a bases-clearing double. The three RBIs account for all of the National League’s runs.

The NL wins the game 3-1, breaking a 13-year losing streak. McCann is named the Most Valuable Player of the game.
