Gene Conley

Gene Conley

Before Deion Sanders played two professional sports and before Randy Johnson (6’10”) was “the” tall pitcher, there was Gene Conley. He played for the Braves in 1952, 1954-1958.

He was born on November 10, 1930 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He batted right, threw right and was a full 6’8″ tall. He played two professional sports, baseball and basketball.

Gene was good enough to be an NL All-Star three times. Two of those were with the Braves.
