In 1991 the Atlanta Braves went from last place to first place. It was Bobbie Cox’s second full season. And in 1992, he did it again.
As late as May 26, the Braves were in last place. They were pretty rag tag and not looking like the champs of the previous year. They had a 20-27 record at that point. They were seven games out of first. Not looking very good.
But they knew how to get focused and move up from last. And they did it again. Bobbie Cox was proving himself as the skipper.
Worst to first.
